hurdyburdy is an online vintage shop, which opened in 2012 as a go to place for good quality, ready to wear pre-used clothing and accessories. Since then the shop has become a firm favourite with buyers all over the world, including those from the entertainment industries.

Style wise, the shop is hard to pin down but who wants to be pigeonholed? So don’t be surprised to check back and see Victorian linen nightgowns side by side with vivid 1970's prints, all tastefully coordinated of course.

In recent years there has been quite the call for letterbox gifts too so I have also been stocking more jewellery, both antique and vintage. You can browse and buy from an eclectic collection, with a leaning towards Danish Skønvirke (a mix of Arts and Crafts / Art Nouveau) and Mid Century Scandinavian silver. My love of Victorian jewellery is also showing, so keep a watchful eye out for my unusual antique discoveries.

In terms of condition, each listing will detail everything you need to know but feel free to contact me if you are unsure. Some items come to me in a sorry state but I do my best to breathe life back into them and do my bit for sustainable fashion by keeping them away from landfill. I prefer to keep items in as near their original condition as possible so you can appreciate their beauty as first intended.

You can be assured I always endeavour to be honest in item listings and treat your purchase with care and attention to ensure it will be enjoyed for many years to come.
